PM Kisan 20th Installment Date: Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is an ambitious scheme of the Government of India which provides financial assistance to small and marginal farmers of the country. Through this scheme, the government transfers an amount of six thousand rupees every year directly to the bank account of the farmers. This amount is given in three equal installments, in which each installment is of two thousand rupees.
So far, nineteen installments have been successfully distributed under this scheme and now crores of farmers across the country are waiting for the twentieth installment. This amount is directly transferred to the farmers’ account by the government through Direct Benefit Transfer, which eliminates the interference of middlemen.
Tentative date and timeline for 20th installment
The last nineteenth installment was distributed on February 24 and as per the government policy, a new installment is released every four months. On this basis, experts estimate that the twentieth installment can be released in the first week of July. However, no official announcement has been made by the government yet.
The central government usually decides the date of releasing the installment by taking into account the condition of the farmers’ crops, weather and other agricultural factors. This installment can be announced by the Prime Minister in a special program or ceremony. Farmers are advised to keep checking the official website regularly for updates.
Functioning of the Scheme and Benefit Distribution
Under the PM Kisan Yojana, an amount of six thousand rupees is provided to eligible farmers every year. This amount is divided into three equal installments, each installment of two thousand rupees. The first installment is distributed between April to July, the second installment between August to November and the third installment between December to March.
The main objective of this scheme is to improve the economic condition of small and marginal farmers. This amount helps farmers in purchasing seeds, fertilizers, agricultural equipment and other agricultural requirements. Due to the Direct Benefit Transfer system, this amount reaches directly to the bank account of the farmers.
Necessary preparations before receiving installment
Before receiving the twentieth installment, farmers must complete some important tasks. The first and most important task is to get e-KYC done. Without e-KYC, farmers will not get the benefit of this installment. This process can be done online or from the nearest Common Service Center.
Apart from this, farmers should also get their land records verified. It is necessary to ensure that the information of the land registered in their name is correct. The third and last condition is that the farmer’s bank account should be linked to the Aadhar card. After fulfilling these three requirements, farmers can get their installment without any problem.
