CBSE Scholarship Scheme: The Central Board of Secondary Education is encouraging students for higher education through the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme. This scheme is going to prove to be important for the students dreaming of getting higher education in India. Through this, the Ministry of Education is running the Higher Education Department and providing financial assistance to the students of economically weaker sections, help is being provided for building a new future.
Under this scheme, if you have also passed 12th and want to continue further studies, then scholarship is being given by the government for this. Some students are deprived of higher education due to being financially weak, due to which such a scheme is being run by the Central Education Ministry.
Due to the increasing population in India, people in some areas are still living in financial difficulties, in view of which the government is running the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme to enable them to build a new future by getting higher education. Through this, 81 thousand scholarships are provided every year to meritorious girl students, in which boys and girls are given equal status, which is an important step towards general and inclusive development. Apart from this, the official of the Ministry of Education has said that no meritorious student in our country should be deprived of higher education due to financial constraints.
Which students will get CBSE Scholarship Scheme
Every year 81 thousand new scholarships are being provided through the Central Sector Scholarship Scheme, under which 41000 seats are reserved for girl students and 41000 seats are reserved for boys, in which everyone is given equal status. To avail the benefits of this scheme, students should have passed class 12 of CBSE from any state, in which priority will be given to those students who have performed excellently with hard work and dedication.
To apply for this scheme, the beneficiary must have passed class 12th with 60% or more marks and must have 75% attendance in the previous academic session. Apart from this, the applicant should have taken regular admission in graduation or post-graduation degree from any recognized college or university and students who are associated with diploma or distance education program will not be considered eligible under this scheme and their family’s annual income should be less than Rs 4 lakh 50000.
Scholarships from ₹12000 to ₹20000 per year
CBSE Scholarship Scheme Students can get information related to the latest income limit through the National Scholarship Portal. Apart from this, this scholarship is being given differently to different students, in which students pursuing graduation level are given a scholarship of ₹ 12000 and post-graduation students are given a scholarship of ₹ 20000 per year. This scholarship is transferred every year directly to the students’ account for books, hostel expenses, and other daily expenses.
The application form for Central Sector Scholarship Scheme can be done online through National Scholarship Portal, for which you have to do one time registration in which you have to fill the information related to personal and educational qualification and scan the required documents and upload them. After filling the application completely, submit it. The last date to apply for this has been kept as 31 October 2025, so the candidates should complete their application before the due date.
