Who can apply for driving license?
Driving license is a plastic card which allows millions of people to drive vehicles legally on the roads. If you also have a driving license, then you can make your travel and daily life convenient. It is an essential document for the driver to ensure safety on the roads. If you drive without a license, then you are denied insurance coverage and are also fined.
Indian citizens have to get a driving license to drive any type of vehicle on the road, for which the applicant should know how to drive properly and its rules and for a driving license, only physically and mentally healthy persons who are above 18 years of age can apply for a driving license. After this, one has to pass the driving test prescribed by the Transport Department. After applying for a learning license online from home, you will have to go to the RTO office after the stipulated time and get it verified.
Required Documents
Some essential documents have been issued by the Transport Department for getting a driving license, without which you cannot make it. Essential documents like Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID Card, Birth Certificate, 10th, 12th class mark sheet, colour passport size photo and signature will be required. If you have applied for a learning licence, then you will have to submit a print out of its copy as well.
How to apply for driving license?
To make a driving license, first you have to apply for a learning license, after that you can get a permanent driving license. To apply for a learning license , first you have to go to the official website of the transport department of the concerned state and fill the application form in which the required information has to be entered correctly and accurately, after that the required documents have to be scanned and uploaded, now submit the application by paying the prescribed fee, after that you have to give the learning license test which is conducted online and also offline at the RTO. The validity of the learning license has been kept for 6 months, that is, within 6 months you will have to apply for a permanent driving license.
To obtain a permanent driving licence, after applying for a learning licence, you will have to fill form number four in which you will have to attach a copy of the learning licence and necessary documents. After filling the application form completely, a driving test is organised by the RTO in which you will have to appear and pay the prescribed fee and after passing the driving test, you will be given a permanent driving licence.
